Kaori Nakayama is a Japanese artist who studied Fine Art at the Royal Academy Schools, London, following a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the University of East London. In 2005,
she was selected by Gustav Metzger for East International 2005 and exhibited at Riflemaker Gallery, London.
Drawing on her background in sculpture and 3D practice, she developed experimental video installations using projected imagery.
Through the movement and repetition of projected imagery, her works create a shifting perceptual experience in which viewers move between figuration and abstraction, exploring the materiality of light and its relationship to space.
